7 Ways to Use Your Trimlight Outdoor Lights this Winter

You never have to take down your Christmas lights when you have Trimlight permanent outdoor lights installed on your home! Here are seven ways you can use your Trimlight throughout winter.

Security Lights
With the sun setting so early during the winter, it may be completely dark outside before you arrive home for the evening. By using the scheduling feature on the Trimlight Edge app, set your Trimlight to turn on and off daily at your preferred times so you can pull up to a well-lit home at the end of the day. While you can choose from any color combination, white and warm white are our customers’ favorite options for security lights.

New Year’s
We don’t want to rush you to swap out your Christmas lights, but your Trimlight can be used to ring in the New Year too! If you’re hosting a New Year’s Party, a beautiful holiday light display is the perfect way to welcome guests. Our favorite New Year’s lighting effect is white or blue lights with the “twinkle” animation.

College Football Playoff National Championship
If your favorite college football team made it to a bowl game this year, use your Trimlight to show your support on game day! You can create a custom light pattern in the Trimlight Edge app using your team’s colors and animate it with an eye-catching effect. We think the “wave” animation is a great choice for game day lights! Don’t forget to save the pattern to your app library for future use!

Valentine’s Day
Show your community some love with beautiful Valentine’s Day lights. Red, pink and purple are great colors for creating a Valentine’s Day pattern. Add an animation such as “rainbow” or “fire” to make your lights really stand out. If you are hosting a Galentine’s Day party for your friends or a romantic evening at home with your loved one, Trimlight is the perfect way to decorate for Valentine’s Day.

Super Bowl Sunday
Who are you cheering for on Super Bowl Sunday? Show your team spirit by setting your Trimlight with your team’s colors! If you’re hosting a Super Bowl watch party, your Trimlight will make a great impression on your guests and guide them to the right house in the neighborhood.

Mardi Gras
Celebrate Mardi Gras with a custom holiday light pattern of green, yellow and purple. This pattern is perfect if you simply want to add a festive flare to your home or if you’re decorating for a Mardi Gras meal with family and friends.

St. Patrick’s Day
Decorate for St. Patrick’s Day with Trimlight! Keep it simple and turn your lights green, create a unique pattern with green and orange to represent the Irish flag, or create a rainbow pattern! We just can’t guarantee a pot of gold at the end.

If you plan to use any of these ideas this winter, prevent yourself from forgetting by creating calendar events in the Trimlight Edge app today. This useful feature allows you to schedule a light pattern for a specific date or date range, so you can relax knowing your decorating is finished in advance.
